The multiplicity of SIM and U-SIM providers, as well as the diversity of handset manufacturers make the question of interoperability vital for the market. How to make sure that all SIM cards will operate correctly with all handsets? Test of SIM, U-SIM, and handsets following ETSI and 3GPP specifications
Micropross proposes to the market turnkey solutions, including test hardware, software, and technical support, to perform physical and protocolary testing, following the recommendations defined in the ETSI and 3GPP specifications.
Our solutions include automated software, that perform automatically all test cases, and generate a report, containing multiple information such as the name of the operator, the date and time of the test session, the name of the tests that have been performed, and for each test, a summary of what has happened, the conclusion of the test, and if the test is failed, the reason why the test was failed.
The scope of the test suite covers all items described inside the ETSI and 3GPP specifications, and include :
- T=0 checking
- T=1 checking
- SWP/S-HDLC/HCI support
- timings (WWT, CWT, BWT, EGT, ...)
- quality of character transmission
- chip consumption
- voltage driven by the smartcard

Our test solutions can test the SIM as well as the handset. Depending on the nature of the hardware to test, the Micropross hardware that will be used will be the Star 3150, the MP300 TC2, the MP300 TC3, or the MP300 SC1
