Banking
Payment organisations around the world have recognised Micropross test equipment as their reference hardware for contact and contactless banking cards and terminals. This is a true acknowledgement of quality and trustability of our solutions coming from the market. Here are the solutions that Micropross has to offer for the banking world.
Contact and contactless smartcard and payment terminal testing (level 1 and level 2)
Micropross proposes to the market turnkey solutions, including test hardware, software, and technical support, to perform physical and protocolary testing, following the recommendations defined in the payment organisations (EMVCo, Mastercard, Visa) test specifications.
Our solutions include automated software, that perform automatically all test cases, and generate a report, containing multiple information such as the name of the operator, the date and time of the test session, the name of the tests that have been performed, and for each test, a summary of what has happened, the conclusion of the test, and if the test is failed, the reason why the test was failed.
Those solutions are complete, and cover all test cases defined in the respective test specifications.
The test hardware that is used is made by Micropross, and includes either the Star 3150, the MP300 TC2, the MP300 TC3, the MP300 SCL1, or the MP300 TCL2, depending on the nature of the device under test.
Our test solutions is the ideal tools for any industrial developping a banking terminal, or payment smartcards, looking for tools to perform pre-certification of their product.
- solutions certified by the payment organisations
- completely automatised test process
- automatic generation of test reports
- high quality implementation of the test specification
- based on Micropross hardware
- open for customisation of the pre-defined test cases
Analog test of contactless ISO/IEC 14443 compliant smartcards and terminals (following the ISO/IEC 10373-6 specification)
The ISO/IEC 10373-6 specification provides methods to validate the RF aspect of the exchanges. The aim of those test cases, is to guarantee the interoperability between readers and smartcards.
This test specification describes a test apparatus, whose characteristics are totally normalised, which will be used to perform a certain number of tests. This guarantees that specialists from around the world are talking about the same thing, the same measurement methods, provided they are performed following the recommandations of the ISO/IEC 10373-6 specification. Described tests cover terminal checking, as well as smartcard verification.
Micropross proposes an implementation of this test apparatus, provided with all necessary accessories and antennas. This tool (named Universal contactless bench) allows to perform the following tests :
- smartcard tests
- load modulation measurement
- capacity of reception
- timing measurement
- alternating magnetic field (stress test performed under very high field strength)
- terminal tests
- ability of the reader to power a smartcard
- detection of the minimum load modulation signal from the smartcard for operation
- qualification of the reader operating volume
- waveform measurement
The Universal contactless bench operates in association with the MP300 TCL2, an oscilloscope, and a RF amplifier. More detail about the Universal contactless test bench can be found at the following page.
An automation software is supplied with this solution, that makes the performance of all smartcard tests completely automatic. This is a time saving solution, and also avoids any kind of mistakes during the testing process.
- automation of the tests : painful tasks are now easy
- sturdy design of the test apparatus
- supplied with all necessary accessories
- test report generated automatically
