Analog test of contactless ISO/IEC 14443 compliant smartcards, ICAO e-Passports and terminals (following the ISO/IEC 10373-6 and ICAO specifications)
The ISO/IEC 10373-6 and ICAO specifications provide methods to validate the RF aspect of the communication. The aim of those test cases, is to guarantee the interoperability between readers, smartcards and e-Passports.
Those test specifications describe a test apparatus, whose characteristics are totally normalised, which will be used to perform a certain number of tests. This guarantees that specialists from around the world are talking about the same thing, the same measurement methods, provided they are performed following the recommandations of the ISO/IEC 10373-6 or ICAO specifications. Described tests cover terminal checking, as well as smartcard and e-Passport verification.
Micropross proposes an implementation of this test apparatus, provided with all necessary accessories and antennas. This tool (named Universal contactless bench) allows to perform the following tests :

Testing of e-Passports (following the ICAO specification)
Micropross proposes to the market a turnkey solution, including test hardware, software, and technical support, to perform physical and protocolary testing of e-Passports following the recommendations of the ICAO test specification
Our solutions include automated software, that perform automatically all test cases, and generate a report, containing multiple information such as the name of the operator, the date and time of the test session, the name of the tests that have been performed, and for each test, a summary of what has happened, the conclusion of the test, and if the test is failed, the reason why the test was failed.
Our e-Passport testing solution covers ICAO layers 1 to 7, and is modular : it is possible to order only a few elements, for example layers 3 and 4 only.
The test hardware that is used is the Micropross MP300 TCL2, which is the guarantee of the most accurate measurements, and the most reliable results.
