Contact smartcard and terminals testing (ISO 7816-3)
The most famous specification defining contact smartcards is the ISO/IEC 7816-3 specification. This specification is totally independant from the application level, and is overloaded by other test specifications, for banking, GSM and 3GPP applications. Industrials who are not involved in those businesses, but who want to perform protocolary and physical testing to their product will be very interested in the turnkey solutions Micropross has to offer. We propose packaged solutions, including hardware, automated software, and technical support and assistance.
Test of contact ISO/IEC 7816-3 terminals (following the ISO/IEC 10373-3 specification)
The interest of testing a terminal against the ISO/IEC 10373-3 specification is quite clear : interoperability. With our turnkey solution, you can make sure that your smartcard reader will accept any king of ISO/IEC 7816-3 compatible smartcards.
Our solution include automated software, that perform automatically all test cases, and generate a report, containing multiple information such as the name of the operator, the date and time of the test session, the name of the tests that have been performed, and for each test, a summary of what has happened, the conclusion of the test, and if the test is failed, the reason why the test was failed.
The scope of the test suite covers all digital items described inside the ISO/IEC 7816-3, and include :
- T=0
- T=1
- timings (WWT, CWT, BWT, EGT, ...)
- quality of character transmission
The test hardware that is used is the Micropross Star 3150, which is the guarantee of the most accurate measurements, and the most reliable results.
Our ISO/IEC 7816-3 terminals testing platform is particulary suitable for industrial active in the world of pay-tv, loyalty cards, security, and simply anyone looking for solutions to ensure easily that their smartcard reader is compliant with the ISO/IEC 7816-3 specification.
- completely automatised test process
- automatic generation of test reports
- high quality implementation of the test specification
- based on Micropross hardware
- open for customisation of the pre-defined test cases
